It's always been clear to me that he's just jumped on Racing in an attempt to be an influencer by farming engagement. I found out that he tried this in another industry before racing.
I just can't fathom why people can't see this? It's not like the content has any insight in it.

Horse Racing seems a very weird thing to choose if you have dreams of being an influencer. I have no idea if he knows what he's talking about as I don't follow racing but i still find his content amusing. He has some knowledge of Racing, but has just played on it heavily. When you look at the content, it's not about Racing or any insight; it's LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME.
This is normal, though, for engagement of this type. The content isn't as important as the engagement. Doesn't matter whether you like the content or not; it's just that you have an opinion on it.
You see the same thing in other industries; it's a numbers game. If you can get eyeballs, you get more eyeballs and stand a chance of monetising it. It's a modern sort of metric similar to TV views or newspaper readers. If you can get the eyeballs, who gives a f**k about the content.
Fair do's, he doesn't claim to be good at anything and his bio states: -

So he isn't claiming to be anything other than an eyeball generator.
I'm surprised that people think it's the right thing for racing. There isn't any depth to it, and the gambling aspect of it is very irresponsible. Which I find a bit alarming.
It's so hard to explain to people what I do and to give us any credibility, but it's much harder when all influencers think the way to get views is to film themselves 'aving a couple on some nag and shouting at it during the race.

I might have a different view if I followed racing seriously but to me he's just a guy having a good time, making the most of it. Ok he's a bit of a joke and plays up to the camera but I get the impression he would admit that. I don't think people see him as a serious punter, most of the comments joke how he could stop a train. Seems to love the racing and having a punt
I have no view, but he does seem to get noticed etc.
He did a 2 min spot at the Melbourne cup festival - apparently made a very favourable impression on Gay Waterhouse (renowned trainer) who let him join their aeroplane to one race meeting.
He does get some tremendous gigs.
He always looks immaculate, speaks well, doesn’t swear etc.
All pluses in my book.
