I am trying to make some small profits using the Back the likely winner automation file (by Dallas) in combination with the AS Grab the Green servant file (to ensure that a profit is definetely locked in). It worked a few times however on occassion even if the Back the winner selects the correct winner I end up with a small loss. Below is a sample log. Is anyone abole to explain please?

You've started the Servant twice, once sometime before the market went in-play then again a few mins after

So you had two servants doing the same job and each placing a green up bet at exactly the same meaning you'd effectively opened a new lay position with a stake of £10.33 @ 1.21

Oh I see, thanks for the reply Dallas. While on the topic, my thinking is instead of working with the servant I just prefer using the Greening and Trailing stop option with the Back the likely winner automation file...my question, what would be the best settings (n terms off offset ticks, stop trigger, place at ticks and offset batches, to guaranteed highest profit and a minimal stop loss (if things go the other way?). Apologies if this all sounds a bit naive, I am still a newbie and appreciate all help.

Cheers

btw here is another sample, where I used the AS Grab a green servant definetly only once, but I still end up with a loss even though it backed the winner?? (thankfully this one was in practice mode)

I’ve seen this before whilst starting out, your green up rule is firing too often / quickly. Because of the in-play delay the first green up bet hasn’t been placed before it fires the next one. This means you end up duplicating bets so you will have laid the winner 3 times in this occasion.

Either need to just green up once or add a bigger delay between green-ups

There is also now an option on the 'General' tab of the rules editor which you can tick that will 'Add markets betting delay' to the re-arm time
