Do you want an honest tipster or a good tipster?

A tip is meaningless without a guide price to go with it.

Tipsters are there to drive business for sportsbooks, that's all.

Hugh Taylor seems to be the only genuine one (free) but this is a speed game and 1/2 selections a day means you aren't going to get rich.

If using any tipster service, there are always likely to be dishonest ones that hype their wins and hide their losses. Also, there are likely to be ones that put the work in, build networks/contacts, and make a fair return on investment. The frustration of a losing run and paying for the privilege of the losing run, might suggest they're dishonest, when it's really the variance.

The psyche behind actually using a tipster, is due to lack of time to research a card and trusting your own opinion. Also, it's easier to blame someone else instead of yourself. (that's a life lesson in the corporate world right there).

Would I use one? or become one?. That's a hard no, to both questions. If I back/lay anything with justification, I want to own the mistake and find out why it lost, and if it won, if the edge remains.

I'd advocate setting aside some time and specialising in one area and become its' master. Horse racing, it could be non-handicaps or handicaps of a certain field size or racecourse. Football, could be a certain league, or certain teams and their squads. Greyhounds could be certain graded races, high or low, or certain tracks with a bias.

The only horse racing tip I've ever received was: "Place it on Lucky Dan"

Contact:

It got placed - renew the sub :D

The results of this tipping service are pretty transparent, but they cost a bit, and u probably need a betting bank of 10k to justify it.

Read this book;
https://www.amazon.com.au/How-Find-Blac ... 1843440679

Or if you pay attention to the title, that'll give you an indication of how hard it is to find a tipster worth their salt... (i.e. kinda impossible)....

Or to spell it out....if you got everyone in a stadium to pick a number between 1 in 100...some of em are gonna get it right......some of em will get it right more than a few times in a row too..... so how do you know the guy that got it right 10 times in a row has the skill?

That book link I gave you has about 50 pages of them in the appendix, documented with statistical analysis.

If that's too much try this;
https://www.punters.com.au/free-racing-tips/

They reckon AL RAS BLUES in strong form. Could be worth a fifdy, yeah? oh...football...can't help with that, soz :( Try that waterhouse guy...

Alastair Campbell's son Rory Campbell ran a football tipping / football betting fund service...at least until he was arrested for fraud after the syndicate collapsed after the syndicate funds went missing!

Is that the sort of thing you're looking to get involved in? I don't know whether it's worth investing in...probably not! Sounds like a Bernie Madoff 'ponzi' scheme to me with 'Peter paying Paul', and neither you or I are called Paul!

I see Michael Burry has gone down the tipster route.

Off the back of huge investment gains probably, oh wait.

35,000 subscribers. $39 per month.

You take the risk. He racks the cash. Every tipster ever :)
