Hey all.
I'm looking to create my own spreadsheets but can't figure out whether I have to go via the BA supplied sheets or if I can link directly to the fields within BA. Any pointers would be gratefully received. Many thanks in advance

You don’t link directly into Bet Angel from an arbitrary spreadsheet.

All spreadsheet interaction goes via a BA-supplied spreadsheet (or a copy of one). Bet Angel exposes data and control only through the predefined Excel cells it manages.

The usual approach is to start with one of the example spreadsheets that’s closest to what you want.
Save a copy and then modify or extend it to suit your needs.
Use the Bet Angel documentation to see which cells are inputs, outputs and command cells.

You can add as many extra calculations, sheets and logic as you like, but Bet Angel will only read from and write to the specific mapped cells it controls. There’s no way to directly bind a custom spreadsheet to BA fields without that BA spreadsheet layer in between.

If you haven’t already, the spreadsheet documentation here is worth a read:

https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/adv ... eadsheets/

Once you get your head around the cell mappings, it becomes very flexible.
