Didn't think i'd be making these daily figures a few years ago, far from easy though.

Nice! Are you sustaining these kind of profits across the longer term too?
Yes, I’ll be posting my usual end of year results come December
Marvellous!

What I'm curious about is whether updating the thread periodically actually gives you any extra motivation or sense of accountability etc, or has it become more of an annoyance and hindrance?
I update very occasionally, eg end of year, or when I want to add something relevant that might motivate others, or for completeness of the thread.

My main lack of posting reason is I think it would likely annoy and not be very useful for others, especially as my automation is not BA based.

Ok, but I wasn't asking why you don't post more often... just whether reporting back feels like a positive thing for you personally (motivation, accountability etc), or if it affects you more negatively (extra pressure, annoyance etc).

Since you're not really obligated to do so. But good on you for thinking about the completeness of the thread and motivating others, always nice to see another success story.

I know some people find public journaling keeps them on track, while others find it stressful. No real idea how I'd feel, hence my curiosity.

Ah right. So no, doesn't annoy or stress me. The 2 years or so I journal'd it was not an issue or stress to me, but I can imagine everyone is different. I personally found it motivated me in a positive way, but i'm quite stubborn and will keep digging at things... which I think is a useful trait in this game.

I enjoy the updates. I think it's too common for people to go quiet when it's all gone wrong, so it's nice to see you check in now and again.

Thanks Peter
Yes, I think one thing I am trying to push here is the importance of ‘motivation’, I wouldn’t be as far down this road without it, and that comes from communicating with fellow members, private conversations and feedback, and I would add physically meeting up with groups.

You're a cheeky boy goat. You pop up on the VHS forum and say look how well Betamax performs :)

You could leave some crumbs for the BA users about how they can do what you're doing?

It's tough going if i'm honest, more and more research and data analysis to existing strategies basically, not made any progress on anything "new"

In terms of "how", basically many many hours of analysis of data, and trying to understand where value can be found....

It's not a good idea telling everybody how much you earn in a year ( in any profession ) 😈

It's just that you don't see anyone posting a 'loss' of £33k or more in a year 🤔
