So I'm into Greyhound automation for the first time in a few years. I've been running a simple weight of money strategy for 24 hours at absolute minimum stakes.
GB has been consistently good, Aus consistently ok, but with a few early suspensions causing some unexpected losses.
How do you guys cope with Aus races going off before the Betfair scheduled off-time? Any tricks? Or tracks to avoid?
02:25 @ Capalaba went off at 02:23:43
02:49 @ Bendigo went off at 02:48:33
03:00 @ Sale went off at 02:57:35
03:03 @ Capalaba went off at 03:01:45
And do you run the same automation across UK & Aus? If you adjust them, any pointers?

I notice that the race status does not update for some GB tracks. eg today Harlow, Doncaster and The Valley are not working, just remaining "DORMANT" throughout.
Is there a list of tracks where status doesn't populate? Do they vary by meeting, or always the same?

From the tracks you listed, these are all SIS racing tracks. Assume that has something to do with it.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Wed Jan 21, 2026 3:47 pmI notice that the race status does not update for some GB tracks. eg today Harlow, Doncaster and The Valley are not working, just remaining "DORMANT" throughout.

Thanks. Sounds feasible. I wonder why SiS tracks don't have the status updates?Mike Oxlong wrote: ↑Wed Jan 21, 2026 5:14 pmFrom the tracks you listed, these are all SIS racing tracks. Would assume different providers providing different data streams to Betfair. Can also add Oxford and Star Pelaw to the list.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Wed Jan 21, 2026 5:33 pmThanks. Sounds feasible. Off-times running well behind this afternoon in both BAGs meetings. Is this a usual thing on a saturday? Do they delay races to avoid clashing with horse races?

I've had some issues with meetings getting seriously behind schedule and messing with my timings. I've build some automation that automatically blocks trading when a meeting is running more than 120 secs behind.
Early signs are good since going live yesterday evening. Awaiting the mandatory mean reversal.
