I've had no problems with offset greening bets being accepted at slightly below £1. That was until 4pm this afternoon.

Suddenly now I'm faced with the error "Unable to place...... The size of your bet is invalid for your currency".

Anyone else with this issue? Is there some sort of sub-£1 account quota that I have breached, or is this something everyone is suddenly facing since 4pm?

Logs below:

15:44 @ Newcastle was fine

I noticed last week at some point that sub £1 bets had reverted to placing a £1 bet outside the odds requested, being automatically edited by BA and then the correct amount being placed at the requested odds (i.e. the old way from 6 - 12 months ago).

This wasn't on greening specifically, I noticed it for placing placing normal bets.

However, it only seemd to last for a day or 2 and then reverted to placing sub £1 bets in one go again. This was on the footy markets. I've not noticed it since though, will pay attention on tonights CL games.

I suspect it could be BF toying with the idea of scrapping you placing a sub £1 bet again. If they charge on number of bets / hour these days rather than data rates, it makes sense for them to revert this I suppose.

Thanks for the info guys.

This means I need to increase the stakes of my greyhound automation testing from £1 to £2, which will probably cause ROI to drop off a cliff.

The trouble is if Betfair are going to fart about with this then it means you can't trust automation to leave you unexposed.
