missed the first race, (had it in my head it was 13:40
), couldn’t get any joy after that, probably should’ve looked further down the market thinking about it

I’ve watched racing since I was a boy, but I never bet on the horses. The only trading I’ve done on the geegees has been dabbling for small stakes, usually at the biggest meetings.
I’ve been mucking about over the last few days and I think if you’re a beginner who wants to practise ladder trading - winning a few ticks here and there rather than looking for swings - the each-way Cheltenham race markets are worth a look.
You won’t get rich on ten and twenty quid stakes, but you’ll get matched easily in the last half hour before post time and you may learn something.
