Hi,
Please be patiient. I am a total new comer. I have Bet Angel Pro but will not move from Practise mode until I have mastered the fundamentals.
I have watched hours and hours and hours of Peter's videos.
I think I have latched onto the right advice - I am choosing one strategy and looking to apply that to a suitable market.
I am considering the "simplest" one tick scalping from eg - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFrUzZXxmpE (Betfair Trading for Beginners: How You Really Should Trade)
My understanding is then to match a market - this is my problem.
It seems that the key market I would like is one with "good" liquidity (whatever that is ??? 2 trades pes sec??). Anyway the videos of Pre-off UK horse racings from T-7 to &T-2 seem to focus often in Peter's trades. They ALL seem to have a rapid cadence of trades.
The markets I have looked at seem to have a glacial deal flow rate. So I am walking away from Aus AFL & NRL for numerous reasons. I am switching attention to UK Saturday initially to try and find a matching market. I have looked at lots of UK midweek horse racing markets but the volume and liquidity initially don't match what bI am seeking. I think the mindset I have come to is forget the sport - follow the market characteristics. I may be wrong.
Despite this even one of my favourite sports NBA Playoffs does not have the liquidity and the order rate that matches the fequency in Peter's Videos. I anticipated great liquidity from US sport but I guess regionally they are not Betfair users.
I tend to stick to : Match Odds, Moneyline, Head to Head
My question.... Can I please get some guidance as to which markets I should consider to get a liquid order rate.
I have considered that my setup may not be showing the matched bets quickly enough so I have attached images form reference.

In Guardian adjust the refresh interval at the top from 200ms to 20ms. This will improve the refresh cycling of markets 10-fold.

These days horse racing markets hit peak trading from about 5 mins to the off. UK horse racing is much bigger than all the other countries with Saturday usually the biggest day. Football and cricket are the big volume markets and growing.
James, thanks for both.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2026 11:53 amThese days horse racing markets hit peak trading from about 5 mins to the off. I presume the 20ms in Gardian focuses on the market list refresh.
I will add Football and Cricket.
