I was doing some work on standard times this afternoon and just thought I'd have a nose around to see what other people had done. I found this Google Drive file that may be of use.

Personally I think there are major flaws( or more so lack of usefulness) in "basic" advertised/publicised standard times and how they are calculated and the significance
of them and more importantly how useful they are going forward
Will only hit brick walls either direction

Maybe good as a "guide" or like timeform top speed etc

There are many definite anomalies from the advertised standard times
that can be challenged and the usefulenes sof same


There are other ways that uses free info out there
to construct a better comparative time system

i normally work on 16 seconds a furlong in good weather conditions
and then add 2 seconds per furlong in heavy conditions.
