Hello everyone!
Does anyone know what are the steps required to start trading in Malta on Betfair Betting Exchange? As far as I know it is necessary to get Maltese ID (identita MT), TAX certificate, register in Jobsplus as self occupied and get paid for social security. Would anybody confirm that?
Additionally I would like to get a sure information about taxes in Malta if your one and only source of income is trading on betting exchange. Any information would be very much appreciate.

I agree. I went directly to their main tax office (Office of the Commissioner for Revenue) in Floriana, tried my best to explain what I do. Not sure if they really understood, but the reply was "if you`re not officially employed, you don`t need to pay taxes on that". However, lawyers say if it`s a stable income, it must be taxed.

Hi, Are you planning to move to Malta to be able to use Betfair.com? I'm from Italy and I’d like to do that, I’m looking for other traders in a similar situation, or already living in Malta — to share experiences and information.
