Thanks Naffman
It does seem we come from a similar prespective not surely that being similar to me in anyway is where you want to be!
But im sure you get my point.
Good luck to us!

If I understood right only the last 52 weeks should matter even if let’s say the account is on a life time loss? Is that correct?
That's my take on it too. Which can only mean that the huge buffer is an error. Unless someone else can enlighten us what might have caused this?

You should already be paying 20% for being above £25k.tryingtotrade wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2026 3:47 pmLet’s see if have to start paying think will cross the 100k 52 weeks
Please let us know what happens. I'm intrigued!

But I thought the Expert Fee was purely based on the previous 52 active weeks. I thought any profit or loss from before this period is discounted. And this poster is +£97k the last 52 active weeks. What am I missing?

The gross profit and commission figures are 52 week but not the buffer.
One way this poster could have this buffer.
Won 1.6 million and then lost 500,000 before now starting to win again.
If on 25K band Buffer is (5 times commission generated ) minus (gross profit)
all going back to the last time you paid PC or expert fee.
Could just be a mistake.

Why 5 times commission generated?
Don’t have a buffer anymore now, that I moved to the 40% charge this week.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
When on the 100k band the buffer changes to (2.5 times commission generated) minus (gross profit)
all going back to the last time you paid PC or expert fee.
If you'd have stayed on the 25K level your buffer would have increased £166.19 from last week
(791.97 *5) - 3793.66
Perhaps you would be better off staying below £100K.
Sometimes it's better to have a huge bet at big odds before you move up a level.

So tryingtotrade needs to decide whether to keep permanently below £100k Gross Profit to keep his huge buffer and not pay any Expert Fee for 8 years; or charge ahead to maximise Gross Profit but will forever more pay 40% above £100k or 20% above £25k.
What a load of shit the Expert Fee rules are.

Might win the big bet?
