Anyone else completely bemused by the Emma Hayes hydration break analysis last night ?

We all had a definite "WTF??" moment

Once I'd stopped laughing at the blackboard, I couldn't get over that fact that they'd made her studio look like a kitchen.

To be fair, she was very knowledgeable, which she should be given her background. But ITV really stitched her up with the blackboard and the kitchen. I feel quite sorry for her

As I had it on mute as I almost always do, what struck me was how unflattering her clothing was. The word 'frumpy' came to mind.

I think it was something to do with playing out from the back being a good thing.

I almost have a heart attack every time a defender receives the ball with three or four attackers surrounding him.

I am sure that we will lose goals eventually, if we carry on with this suicidal tactic.

Yeh, I took it like that as well, draw the forwards and midfield into the high press then play around them into the created space.

Was also giving me kittens, one mistake and it's goodnight

Are you watching any good commentators in the UK or elsewhere?

On RTE in Ireland we've got alright main commentators but as 2nd commentators; Ray Houghton, Ronnie Whelan, both decent players in their day but the most obnoxious negative commentators you could imagine. I haven't heard him yet, but ya know, I'm sure Jim Beglin will put his opinion in and ruin the game I'm watching.

Studio crew are worse, Kenny Cunningham; moderate club and moderate international, Didi Hamann savage player but has to push Shearer off the fence to sit on his fence, Richie Sadlier was a young lad with potential fucked by injury that now psychoanalyses every player in every game, Stephen Kelly floats between 2nd commentator and studio. He's alright, international game knowledge and points things out but not overly opinionated - nice lad in the pub kinda guy.

There's some other people doing analysis in the studio that I have no idea who they are, should have thrown in my CV with some ChatGPT bigging me up and I could have taken a months holiday from work and still got paid :P :P :P

Telemundo coverage through Peacock (NBC). Its Latino coverage so all in Spanish. I have no idea what they are saying but, good lord, they sound like they are having a great time. Always very upbeat. Anything beats the Fox Sports coverage of the miserable Landon Donovan and some random English fella. Zlatan and Henry doing the pre and halftime coverage. I can't tell if Zlatan is a real person or just an actor.
