Lots of "Placed" markets have been loaded as TBP in Guardian. First I've experienced this, has anyone else had the same issue? eg Nottingham 3.00pm, instead of 'To be Placed' it's showing as 3 TBP, which is wrong as there are only 7 runners. Checking my Coupon it's exactly the same as it has been every day for the past 3 years

Lots of "Placed" markets have been loaded as TBP in Guardian. First I've experienced this, has anyone else had the same issue? eg Nottingham 3.00pm, instead of 'To be Placed' it's showing as 3 TBP, which is wrong as there are only 7 runners. Checking my Coupon it's exactly the same as it has been every day for the past 3 years

The number of places covered in the 'to be placed' market changes based on the number of declared runners in the race, to reflect the betting industry standard number of places.

So in a 7 runner race such as Nottingham 15:00, the 'to be placed' market is for the industry standard top 2 places, so there is a 3TBP market created for 3 places.
Whereas the 8 runner race Nottingham 16:05, the 'to be placed' market is for the industry standard top 3 places, so the 2TBP and 4TBP markets are created.

Perhaps Betfair cocked up the market set-up. What happens if you delete the effected markets, refresh market list, then reload those markets?

Refreshed the Coupon and still the same, some To be placed markets were missing. Had to select Other Place as well, then the missing To be placed markets were displayed (weirdly) and added them that way. Will see what happens tomorrow fella

You're right. Because I always load both I didn't notice any difference.

If you load OTHER_PLACE then it filters back some PLACE markets and vice versa.

Probably a Betfair error or a change to naming convention.

Other zones for Horse racing (AUS etc) were/are fine. All Greyhounds are fine. All UK horse markets with <8 runners were only the ones that threw up this anomaly. Fingers crossed this isn't a sign of things to come coz the structure of some markets (no form figures, missing data) is rife. Nearly every day I'm cleaning the data.
