... all the above suggestions could be a waste of development money in order to max in-play P/L - it's a bit of a beast to tameslider would work better than typing in a number or selecting from a drop down.

I personally still think a drop-down offering 5%, 10%, 20%, 25%, 33⅓%, 50% and 100% of the greening amount is the way to go - the box could be positioned directly above the P&L column and it would mean you could have different greening percentages on each selection if you wished.
If it proves a success and someone has a better way of doing it in future then that idea can be considered and/or implemented. Keeping the options to the above 7 choices to begin with might well be easier (and cheaper), but I'm always happy to consider other ways of skinning the proverbial.
If a slider could have the 7 choices of 5%, 10%, 20%, 25%, 33⅓%, 50% and 100% highlighted along the slider then that would also be fine.
