We have tested this in alpha over the last few weeks and any bugs found have been fixed. We feel it’s ready for beta release to the community ahead of its formal public release.

As with all betas, please gain confidence with the version before using full stakes. If you spot any issues, please post them to this thread.

In this version we add an Additional Information Area to the One-click screen, enhance the Ladder's Additional Information Area, support Betfair's Strategy and Order References, allow At In-play persistence to be specified at bet placement, and provide better linkage between Ladder and Automation. Additionally, there are many enhancements to Stored Values, Automation, Ladder settings, Keyboard shortcuts, the API etc. Most of the changes have been based on customer ideas and suggestions. All changes are detailed below.

Features of v1.64.0 - beta 1

Additional Information Area for the One-click/Manual bet screens

• A new customisable area can be displayed above the one-click grid. It can display market/selection information, edit Stored Values, and display buttons to start Automation Servants or trigger Keyboard Shortcuts.

• It is activated and edited via the One-click's Custom Columns profile editor using the new 'Additional Information Area' tab.

• Two example profiles have been provided, but using the Import/Export option, profiles from the Bet Angel forum can be used.

• Using the editor, items can be added into the display area using a grid layout. The scale of the grid can be defined in pixels and there are options to define the overall height and decide if scroll bars should be shown.

• Information Items are placed into the grid at a chosen Column/Row location, but can span multiple columns/rows if required.

• The font size, text alignment and colours can be defined.

• Information Items support the following actions:
  • Display a label
  • Display Preset Information for a market/selection : choice of 40+ preset items, including runner details, race status, tennis scores etc
  • Display TPD information for a market/selection
  • Display a Shared Stored Value
  • Edit a Shared Stored Value as a number or text
  • Display a Historical Stored Value
  • Start an Automation Servant
  • Trigger a Keyboard Shortcut
  • Trigger a Preset Action

Ladder's Additional Information area

• The area has been enhanced to support value editing and button display.

• New actions available:
  • Edit a Shared Stored Value as a number or text
  • Start an Automation Servant
  • Trigger a Keyboard Shortcut
  • Trigger a Preset Action (includes options to Navigate to next/previous market from Market Selection or Guardian)

• New items added to 'Display Preset Information'
  • Tennis scores
  • Current Time
  • Number of winners

• Display layout has been improved with more Alignment options and support for a Bottom margin

Support for Betfair's Strategy and Order References

• The Strategy Reference can be specified on the Bet Angel login screen and will separate all activity (including Profit & Loss) in this instance of Bet Angel from another using a different reference. All bets placed with this instance will have the Strategy Reference applied.

• e.g. Login to two instances of Bet Angel with the same betfair account, but use different Strategy References and you'll be able to place bets, cancel, green up on a market without affecting the same market on the other Bet Angel instance.

• An extension to this is the Betfair Order Reference. That can applied to bets placed via Automation or the Bet Angel API to tag the bets with a user specified string of up to 32 characters (provided either as Entered text or using a Stored Value)

• The Strategy and Order References of a bet can be seen in a tooltip on the Matched Bets page (by hovering over the betfair reference), they will also be exported in Guardian's Matched Bets report. When a Strategy Reference has been used, the Guardian reports will be placed in a sub-folder named as that reference.

Global Settings - 'At In-play' option

• When using Global Settings, there is an additional option to specify the bet persistence (Cancel/Keep/Take SP) at the time of placing the bet.
  • This is an alternative to using Keep All or Take SP All when the Unmatched Bet returns from betfair.

• This setting can also be applied to bets placed via Automation (including trade closure and greening), Excel, and the Bet Angel API

Automation

• New rule types:
  • 'Change the Selection on a Ladder screen' - gives Automation the ability to change a specific ladder to show a specific selection (expecting this to be used by Servants)
  • 'Export Matched Bets Report' - exports a Matched Bets report on demand (like the Profit & Loss report) rather than having to wait for market settlement.

• At In-play options (Cancel/Keep/Take SP) have been added to bet placement rule types, including Trade closure and Green All Selections.

• Betfair's Customer Order Reference can be applied when placing bets, closing trades or greening. The reference will be written to the Log and also exported in the Matched Bets Report.

• New staking option for bet placement: 'By liability using Servant context' calculates the stake required to achieve the liability specified in the Servant Context Stake based on the price specified in the rule.

• Stored Values (also applies to the Stored Value condition)
  • New options added to 'Matched Bet information of the market/a selection' so that the matched bets being used can be restricted by price.
  • New options to extract values from betfair's published information about bets placed into the market at SP :
    • 'The SP Backers' Stake at or below a price for a selection'
    • 'The SP Layers' Liability at or above a price for a selection'
    • Note: SP back bets placed on the exchange with no price limit are priced at 1.01 and SP lay bets with no price limit are priced at 1000.0.
  • New option to get 'The market's Commission %'
  • New option to get 'The Number of Winners' in the market (useful for Place markets)

Ladder

• Ability to display a Net Stake % in the Ladder Staking area
  • When visible, the stake placed will be the specified percentage of the current Net Stake. This allows the exit of the trade to be offered across multiple prices.
  • The Net Stake Percentage settings (found on the General page of Ladder Settings) include options to set a default value, specify when the default is applied and allow a change of percentage to be synchronised across all ladders.
    • There is also an option to apply the percentage to the staking of the Trade Closure column, which allows that method of closure to be spread across multiple prices.

• New option to 'Lock the Green all toolbar button' to make it read-only and prevent accidental activation (General page of Ladder Settings).

• New option added to the setting that clears the highlighted last traded odds after a time - you can now request that the highlight doesn't clear and will just be moved to the next LTP when it changes.

Keyboard Shortcuts

• New options found in the 'Guardian' category in the 'Select markets in Guardian's list of markets' action:
  • 'Select all markets with Automation Rules applied in Guardian's list of markets'
  • 'Select all markets without Automation Rules applied in Guardian's list of markets'

• New action in the Ladder category to Change the Net Stake % of a ladder

Selection 'by Nomination'

• Throughout Bet Angel where you can specify a selection by name, by row index, by position etc, there are now extra options in the 'by nomination' section:
  • 'Ladder Selection 1', 'Ladder Selection 2' etc will use the selection currently being used on a specific ladder.
    • e.g. In the Additional Information area of the one-click screen you may wish to display information about the selections currently visible on Ladders 1 & 2.
    • e.g. With a Servant you may wish to act upon a selection currently used on a specific ladder (rather than having to start the servant from the ladder itself using the Servant Context).
  • 'Winning Selection (if known)' uses the Selection marked by betfair as the Winner when the market closes.

Guardian custom columns

• 'Current P & L' has been added as an option to custom columns as when paired with 'Winning selection' you can display the P&L of the winner in the Guardian market list.
  • This is also an option for the new One-Click Additional Information area and the header of a Watch List via custom columns.

• 'Number of winners' added as an option to the Market Information display item

Bet Angel API

• 'getAvailableMarkets() has been added to the Markets component - this returns a list of all the markets available in the betfair market tree that could be added to Bet Angel. The response includes the hierarchical path to the market from the root of the betfair market tree (both in terms of event_id//market_id and also by name).

• 'atInplayOption has been added to bet placement / close trade / green all instructions.

• 'orderRef' has been added to bet placement / close trade / green all instructions.

• 'orderRef' and 'strategyRef' have been added to the MarketBetInfo object that is returned by getMarketBets().

Settings Editor

• Communications page
  • Added an option to 'Automatically update the Event Start Time if Betfair amends it'.
    • Note: Betfair rarely update the start time of a horse race when a delay is announced, but frequently update the start time of Tennis/Cricket matches.

• Display page
  • New option to 'Hide Close button in Unmatched Bets area'

MarketOverview

• The Line Thickness used on the overview chart can now be specified in the Charting menu.

• Clicking a back or lay price in the grid will launch a Quick Bet ticket for that selection

Bug fixes

• The Bar Tips in the Ladder's Last Traded Price Chart column didn't update to match the LTP Highlight colours specified on the General page, they now do.

• Practice Mode - now resolves SPs on markets that support SP, but don't turn in-play
