Nice oneeeee, forced to talk to Safer Gambling team 👀

I put a lot of volume through the exchange yday which may have triggered it

Sounds like it's just a deposit limit though, and i don't deposit so don't think this changes anything, right?

Does it say the “spend budget” is a deposit limit or is it what you can lose each month?

Feel like I asked someone the same thing on another thread, but can’t remember the answer.

Hope this doesn’t cause you too many problems beyond the pure nuisance factor.

I'm pretty sure it's a net deposit limit. https://support.betfair.com/app/answers ... t-budgets/

It was initially triggered by increased staking amounts, but they also looked at things like failed deposits in the last 365 days, deposit amounts in the last 365 days, and the fact that i was betting 12am-8am suddenly.

Outcome: After 90min answering questions about my betting activity they have put £1,500 spend limit for my account (half the claimed disposable income per month)

The spend budget is how much you can deposit in a calendar month, after ner deposits

To be honest it's not a very well thought out mechanism, as it resets on 1st each month.

Meaning if you withdraw £5k august 30th for example, you can redeposit that £5k, plus the spend budget. But if its 2 days... (1st September) You would only be able with deposit the £1,500.

They confirmed that for example a £30k withdrawal now and a 30k redeposit 2months later will trigger internal checks and policies etc due to increased deposit amount.

Moral of the story is keep everything you need in your balance and have it parked in exchange games wallet until you need it for bigger events. Try to avoid depositing entirety. Also, 2FA is your friend<3

Thanks for sharing this info. Very useful.

Just checking this line, as it doesn't make sense? They confirmed that for example a £30k withdrawal now and a 30k withdrawal 2months later will trigger internal checks and policies etc due to increased deposit amount.

Oops i meant a 30k withdrawal and a 30k redeposit* 2months later.

But really the redeposit is not even possible unless it's in the same calendar month.

So it is best practice to not do any deposits at all, and just withdraw excess profits as needed, just don't withdraw too much that the account can't rebuild itself and should be good to go
