Before any financial 'powers that be' meeting (G8, G20, FED, Eurozone summit etc.) buy stock markets (and oil).
The whole purpose of these things is to do whatever it takes to appease "the markets" (even if it means leaving the unborn with a huge debt around their necks).
Buy any dips before these meetings - 'works every time.

Good spot, thanks.
Be interesting to see the impact of the referendum in Greece when it comes in... dare say speculation as to which way it goes will wobble the banking sector this next month. I suspect it'll be turkeys voting for Xmas as things stand so in the infamous words of Rastani "the market's toast" - time to short everything, isn't it ?

These are my favoured strategies for these types of markets: -

They work well in volatile markets where you are unsure of the next price direction but you know there will be a move.

I didn't realise you traded options too. I don't know where you get time!

a funny situation this time because a big rally has already occurred due to the the central bank easing measures last week (and some reasonable US economic news).
the EZ meeting is on Friday and I very much doubt that there will be any significant falls before then - the S&P negative watch on virtually the whole of the EZ nations had precious little impact (normally this would have been big news) because the big players still want to be long before Friday.
