Now another couple of years wait for the appeal?

Man City owners (allegedly) pump almost £1 billion extra into the club and community to drive Manchester and the Premier League forward to the pinnacle of world football.
Meanwhile Man Utd owners leech £1.2 billion from their club, have overseen two decades of debt and decline, and left the football and Old Trafford to rot.
And City are the villains?

This could all lead to the end of the Premier League, not just Man City. Who will be lining up to sue the Premier League once they've finished with City?ForFolksSake wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2026 10:40 pm... Premier League and Man City are in 'deep'

If these inflated sponsorship deals were as obvious as they are making out, then how come it took ten years to spot? Why do they think Man City's real sponsorship income was so low for so long? Who is auditing these clubs? How many other clubs are at exactly the same thing? Why did the outcome leak? Why are Man City still vehemently denying guilt, unless they think they are being stitched up?
So much of this doesn't make sense.

... are there any other top clubs cheating but haven't been found out yet ?So much of this doesn't make sense.
... could the idea of a EU Super League be revived ... Premier League is getting a bit boring now
Guilty AF obviously. Permanent expulsion is a possibility, as it's literally in the Premier League rulebook.
Let's not forget they had English refs on their payroll for lucrative UAE side gigs until Howard Webb had to step in and ban it. The bias is all over the data, but the mainstream media won't touch that can of worms.
At least the bald fraud Pep got the heads up and bailed out in time, even found a body double to take the fall for him.
So yeah, because the investigation took 8 years, it only covers the first era. Auditing the post-2018 era will require a second probe, but it's obvious from these charts they never stopped.
Hard to believe people in the UK still can't wrap their heads around this concept, but in trading terms, the risk-reward was great value for them and an absolute win, even if the club dissolves from all the lawsuits. They couldn't care less about football or whatever club asset they used, it was a calculated risk to use football to sportswash away a record of modern-day slavery, and they completely achieved that.
Teenagers all around the world now associate their country with football, and not slavery. Newcastle owners would love to do the same thing, to hide their own record of dissolving journalists in acid barrels. Cooking a few books is nothing in their part of the world.
