Man City whistleblower to lose witness protection amidst death threats : https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/arti ... vrp78ddvqo
He wants The People to stump up 3m euros to help him relocate. Here's his GoFundMe if you want to donate, Kai? https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-save-ru ... stleblower

Recommend he avoids Benfica

He is welcome to crash on my couch if he wants :)

But sounds like the UK authorities might help him out : https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... protection

I'd be surprised if this happens, because I thought there was an open criminal investigation ongoing against him in the UK?

But if he is allowed sanctuary here, I wonder if he will give The People back the 22k euros donated so far?

In any case, City fans should be praying nothing happens to him, as they'll inevitably get stuck with the blame if it does.

Since his tweet directly linked City to him losing his witness protection just hours after the verdict landed. I wouldn't take his plea so flippantly, as a mere cash grab.

He has arguably leaked far more dangerous schemes like the Luanda Leaks. Alongside exposing the tax evasion structures of Messi and other superstars, which did result in criminal tax convictions.

There were the Ronaldo rape allegations too, where he leaked the private NDA that forced US police to reopen the investigation. He exposed the Super League plans etc.

It's just a bonkers story.

I don't think the reason why he was in witness protection and fears for his life has anything to do with the Man City case.

Do you know anything about him?

Entirely reasonable take for a City fan. I wouldn't be thinking clearly under this much duress either.

Aston Villa v Man City 24 Oct
Notts For v Man City 7 Nov
Arsenal V Man City 29 Nov

... looks like Man City are going to suffer a painfully slow death over the next few months 💀

A lot of it doesn't really make sense does it?

The outcry of the Aguero moment is tainted why? there was no FFP in 2012

The panels findings don't make sense, Sheikh Mansour knew nothing about the disguised funding, I mean I know he's rich but come on sure hes going to notice a billion quid missing

The panel have City down as getting £16m from Abu Dhabi sponsors in 2012 but only getting £12m in 2018, City were getting less with Pep at the helm and after all the trophies they had won, again makes no sense.

Arsenal were getting £42 million a season from Emirates for shirt/ground sponsor in 2004, City were getting £40m a season from Etihad in 2009 for the same plus also the training ground named, was it really inflated

In a nutshell, City are owned by Sheikh Daddy Co

If sponsors are unable to meet their payments they can apply to the government to pay their bit to keep up the contract.

Sponsors 1-8 are also owned by Sheikh Daddy Co #1-8, they claim they can't pay their part so the government pay all their outstanding sponsorship bills.

However the government owns/is Sheikh Daddy Co, so it's direct ownership involvement inflating sponsorship by covering any shortfall.

The Etihad case about defamation doesn't seem to carry any water to me, they're redacted if they're mentioned at all

It seems the period under question is 2009 - 2018.

Within this period, each year, MC increased spending on big signings, knowingly racking up losses, when around the same time, the rules changed.

To get around the new rules, they misreported the losses. The new rules allowed losses of 100 million, which matched MC reported losses, but there was £60 million+ purposely not reported. This was repeated year on year.

This creative accounting went on until MC established a strong player base and a strong foothold in the Champions league. From 2018, they have kept within the rules, thinking they've gotten away with and now no other club, ie: Newcastle can match the 09-18 period.

The main thrust is, that it's fraudulent and unfair to other clubs that cannot do the same without breaking the rules.

Arguably, those running the club, could be seen as not fit and proper, because of the fraud, and the independent commission could take the club from them if they stubbornly remain, and sell it on.

Reckon, the resulting sanction(s) will be swift, subject to appeal.

Either way, the club is left with a points deductions (likely relegation), big fines to pay, along with a transfer embargo, and any other club that wants to sue them.

It's a real shit-show for sure.

Do you reckon there'll be player loss if they get relegated? Juve lost a few players from being relegated to Serie B a few years ago who could walk out on their contracts - if I was on a contract that included appearances/goals/assists in the Premier League/F.A. Cup, League Cup, and the same in the Champions League and the misfinancial management of the team made those inclusions not feasible, I'd have my agent on the phone to Spain/Italy/Germany and get any money in UK bank accounts the fuck outta there incase HMRC get involved!
