Thanks @jamesedwards and @ShaunWhite

The answers are enlightening and the calculations are easy to understand even for those who are not math expert :D

This hint is the key that solves the puzzle

(always returning1.25% of losing markets no matter which commission rate you pay)
Although my win% is high, I think I will have an advantage in changing to the 2% plan, here are the values of my last 30 days so that you can make a more accurate calculation.

Here's what I make it...

On 6% plan:
Gross profit = £17,367
Commission paid = £1,663
Commission generated = £960 = (£831 + £129)
Expert fee due = £5,987
Net profit = £9,717

On 2% plan:
Gross profit = £17,367
Commission paid = £554
Commission generated = £406 = (£277 + £129)
Expert fee due = £6,541
Net profit = £10,272

A difference of £555.

The big question is how houdini rakes in a massive 16k a month without being a maths expert haha? Very apt username...

Perfect, even discounting £225 in freebets, 2% plan is clearly better and in months with a worse win% the difference will be more noticeable. I will request the change for next month.

Consistently Betfair profitable - level 3 difficulty
Consistently five figures profitable - level 5 difficulty
Properly understanding PC/EF - level 10 difficulty

You still pay PC so they could offer you 0% and it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference.
It does make a bit of difference. On 2% most traders would be generating more commision than paying, and vice versa with 5% comm rate. I'm calculating paid/generated commision of my bots and can simulate different commision rates. You'll have to trust me that these figures are correct or do your own excel simulations.
Image

Scenario 5%:
gross pl 1790.92
paid comm 405.77
generated comm 297.75
PC 60.43 (1790.92 * 0.2 - 297.75)
total comm 466.2 or 26% of gross pl

Scenario 2%:
gross pl 1790.92
paid comm 162.31
generated comm 176.02
PC 182.16 (1790.92 * 0.2 - 176.02)
total comm 344.47 or 19.2% of gross pl

2% scenario you get a lot bigger PC charge, but total comm paid is 122 less
i'm using 2% flat, and my activity still produces a buffer so dont pay any fees as of right now
which is better —
1) Stay on 2% then churn comms using a 50.3% value betting bot (currently on the shelf) ?
2) Stay on 2% then increase to 5% if start running out of expert fee?
