RDT will be busy updating clients to the latest version of the racecourse betting software so bookies can use Matchbook accounts that presumably will be open for them.

I think the move is good for the exchange landscape. It will provide a real alternative to Bf, whose racing mkts are increasingly pathetic anyway.

I received an email from Betdaq not long ago, in reference to them being taken over by Matchbook, which gives more information about the takeover.

We are writing to let you know that Exchange Platform Solutions Limited (“EPS”) will permanently cease operating BETDAQ gambling services on 21 October 2026.

This email explains what this means for your account, the key dates and your options.

Key dates:

14 October 2026: New customer registrations and deposits stop.
21 October 2026: Betting on BETDAQ ends. You can continue to manage and trade out of open positions until betting closes, subject to market availability.
21 October to 4 November 2026: You can continue to log in to view your account, statements and betting history, and withdraw your available balance. You will no longer be able to place bets or deposit funds.
From 5 November 2026: Online account access ends. A closure notice on our website will explain how to contact us about any remaining balance.

BETDAQ brand acquisition by Triplebet Limited (Matchbook)

Triplebet Limited, the operator of Matchbook, has acquired the BETDAQ brand. The acquisition does not include EPS, existing BETDAQ customer accounts or the customer database. Your BETDAQ account will not automatically transfer to Matchbook. If you wish to use Matchbook as an alternative betting exchange, you will need to register for a separate account at Matchbook.com and complete its account verification requirements.

For further information, please see our BETDAQ Closure FAQs.

Your open bets

Bets scheduled to settle on or before 21 October 2026 will settle as normal. Bets matched before 14 October 2026 and due to settle between 21 October and 30 November 2026 will be honoured and settled. Bets matched before 14 October 2026 relating to events concluding after 30 November 2026 will be voided, with the relevant stakes returned to your BETDAQ account balance. From 14 October, betting will remain available only on eligible markets until betting closes on 21 October 2026.

Your money

Your funds are held in segregated bank accounts, separate from EPS's operating funds. EPS holds sufficient funds to cover outstanding BETDAQ customer balances and remains responsible for returning these funds. To withdraw your available balance, log in to your BETDAQ account, go to My Account and request a withdrawal to your registered payment method. We aim to process withdrawals within one working day, subject to any necessary verification checks. Once processed, funds may take a further 3 to 5 working days to reach your bank account. If you have not withdrawn your balance by 4 November 2026, EPS will continue to make reasonable efforts to return it to you.

Does anyone know any winners on Matchbook?

Genuinely asking.

(btw small suggestion, maybe the mods can change thread title to "Betdaq sold to Matchbook" for clarity so that half of the users on here don't get a heart attack)

Gutted! Bet Angel for Betdaq was a godsend for me! Will Bet Angel look to adapt its Betdaq app to work with Matchbook?

Based on the last set of conversations we had with Matchbook that didn't seem to be on the cards.
