Final active day Dec 21st, still pretty active on there each day (screenshot)
Would anyone be annoyed if I suggested users come over here?
Would need to moderate 1 or 2 but a lot of good eggs who genuinely love Horse Racing

As the (I think) majority here are traders rather than betters/layers, I doubt many would have much interest in most topics here, maybe a FORMER BETFAIR FORUM CREW forum to keep them out of our hair ;)

In my own experience, anything I was looking at the BF Forum it was always 80% whinging "jockey X didn't try hard enough, Trainer Y is a crook so of course his fav wasn't gonna win that" All that kinda shite.

I'd rather not see the backers/layers/mugs infiltrate the fora, because it would take me longer to filter through posts I find interesting.

But if it's good for the fora and results in people using BF instead of BOG then maybe it's good for everyone here already.

Yes, fora is an acceptable term for multiples of forum, I done checked it cos I speak the bestest English brah 8-)

Haven't used it for years. Never really used it that much when it was active.

Unmoderated idiocy decimated that forum over the last 15 years.

Well that's just sad, it looks pretty active.

I assume it's related to that cost/job cutting policy, but killing a 25 year old community so its customers can't even communicate has to be ultimate corpo greed.

Why even maintain an official forum when they can just shift the liability to Reddit and Discord and let users moderate for free. No real need to build and maintain tribal brand loyalty either, when there is no real competition 🤷‍♂️

I don't think traditional forums align with modern corporate control anymore, way easier to manage damage control and bury complaints in private support tickets etc. You're basically just giving your own users a platform to highlight every little cockup, and really amplify the big ones.

Can't cost Betfair much to run it can it? Maybe one moderator that's all. Loads of jobs going at Flutter too, just makes you wonder how long the Exchange has left :(
