I have had this for the last few days while trading in running.
Frozen for about 10 seconds almost every race.
Anybdy else?
Screen freezing
could not say about inplay as i dont trade in play but, ba does hang up for approx 10 to 20 secs roughly once a day (session) both modes 0 and mode 1. occasionally i have to get out via the website if it happens too close to the off.
i dont believe its BA, my machine or betfunfair (but i would like to blame betunfair if i could). i believe its my internet connection although i cant prove it, it seems local to me as there are no similar reports (apart from yourself) on this forum.
im not getting slow response times etc, no indication it will freeze, it justs freezes at random, no where near to extent of yours.
tomorrow i will look at races inplay and place a few odd £2 backs to see if it hangs up more often inplay.

mine started about the end of oct beginning of nov. it used to happen once every 3 to 4 days, but now as i said more or less once a session.
im on the latest version, at first i assumed it was a minor glitch in a beta version, but its still there with every recent update.
i have only recently reformatted and reinstalled windows, i have hardly any software loaded on this machine, none that would appear to be causing conflicts with ba. so i assumed it must be my internet connection.
the ba connection gizmo i believe is set up for optimum performance as per peters video.
but i will trade with a laptop tomorrow and see if it hangs on that. did not think of trying that before.
other than i am pretty clueless as to why?

Try having your Task Manager open and if in Windows 7 you can see a summary of all the different parts. That will then allow you to see if any of them are hitting their limits. If you get a freeze up have a look at it straight after and you should be able to see.
But make sure you already have Task Manager open as it starts to collect data from when it is opened. So if you open it after a freeze up it won't have any data loaded up.
Pop up some screen shots if you can.
Do the freeze ups inrunning tend to happen when the race is getting to the action end of it and then release after they cross the line or there is a clear winner?

traded saturdays afternoon cards on laptop. no hangups pre or inplay.
traded sundays cards on pc no hangups pre or inplay.
both on same broadband connection via ethernet cable.
the problem with these intermittent problems there barstewards to track down. all i can think of doing is changing out the filters that go in the phone sockets.

Hi All.
If it helps, I have had problems if I am running MS Internet Explorer at same time with multiple web pages open. Have switched to Google Chrome and no problems since.

Two odd freezing issues we sometimes get in support are: -
(1) Modal dialogue box is hidden somewhere and people don't realise. Solution is to alt-tab to find it.
(2) Communications settings are too 'tight' causing Bet Angel to start buffering the calls or locking up.
I doubt it's either of these but just thought I would point them out.

thanks rubys glory i already use chrome, dont us ie at all. i might try another browser if this glitch gets any worse (just to eliminate chrome as a cause) but i think chrome is the best browser i have ever used and would hate to substitute it. at the moment its just a minor annoyance, and when a freeze occurs within 2 mins to the off, i am ready to get out via betfair website.
euler i have not noticed any modal windows opening, never occured to me, so if and when i get a hangup that will be the first i shall try to find.
i am very confident that my connection is up correctly but, i will slacken it a bit from tomorrow afternoon and leave it like that to see if the glitch reappears.
thanks for advice

Keep an eye on your task manager as well, you need to have it open before the hanging though or you won't see any data for during when it hung.
I generally have the refresh rate at 200ms, the max data requests is 60. For this where should the tuner be set ? At the moment I have it on 11?Euler wrote:Two odd freezing issues we sometimes get in support are: -

i don't know if you have seen this ba video on getting the best connection. if you have not, it will probably help to give you the best/optimum settings.
