Been thinking about my journey in racing, going back to when I used to sit with my Dad when I was a youngster when we would pick out horses at the kitchen table to bet on the ITV 7 on Saturday afternoon; To present day when I make a living from racing.
I don't think there is an afternoon goes by where I become very emotional, either when a horse pulls out an amazing run, or a great human story that is behind a runner. Sometimes it is due to losing an old friend to a tragic fall.
Am I getting a bit soft for this game?

How could a person fail to be reduced to tears when Bob Champion won the 1981 Grand National on Aldaniti? I still get emotional just thinking about it - even after all these years.mugsgame wrote:Been thinking about my journey in racing, going back to when I used to sit with my Dad when I was a youngster when we would pick out horses at the kitchen table to bet on the ITV 7 on Saturday afternoon; To present day when I make a living from racing.

I suspect, Mr Mugsgame, Sir, that the world would be a better place if all people had your feelings.
This morning, I read that yesterday thieves stole the copper cable that connected the emergency power generator to a hospital's electrical system. As a result, the hospital has had to cancel those operations that they were going to perform because they couldn't guarantee patients' safety. What kind of a society have we created? Sometimes I despair.
Psycho
