I’m going to Ascot today courtesy of Betfair (finally got something from them) in their corporate box. It was part of their promotion so its prize and not necessarily entertaining their key clients or anything.

I’m looking forward to meeting somebody higher up in Betfair and see if I get any insight in to their proposed backing only book and the impact it will have on current users.

Excellent have a great day!
Will you do me a favour whilst you're there..?
Will you look around the boxes to see if there are any traders trading live on the course?
Ascot is one of those courses that doesn't lend itself to in play, its either the characteristics of the course; camera angles or courtsiders..just interested..
Thanks
Peter

Bit late now, but I dare you to go over to one the Betfair guys and drink 60% of his drink and if he talks to anybody else drink 60% of theirs as well without explanation.

Betfair box is right next to Royal box and making most of their wines and winter pims. Paul nicholls popped down earlier to give his views of the day. Speaking to couple of betfair employeedls one of them customer analysis dude.

Big Bucks pure class.

Dynaste touched 6/4, not sure what some of the in-play punters are on.

The probably got a bit excited when Dynaste put his foot on the accelerator and Ruby had to shake up Big Bucks.

I thought it was funny the way he moved alongside the leader and stayed there for 20 seconds or so almost as if to say 'Hello I'm Big Bucks and I can storm 10 lengths ahead of you any time I want'

Cheers Peter, managed to get it all back now with a bit of interest but non the less very annoying. Sure if I mentioned it to BF they wouldn't even know that it had stuck.

Apparently only betfair has in-play exchange trading facility here at ascot and waiting for somebody to take me there. They got around the loophole by using Malta. Other bookies are not happy but apparently got around that by taking in the bets themselves rather than putting through the exchange. Thus may explain why ascot inplay is different?

So they accept the bets? But what stops BF form then going into the exchange themselves and putting the same bet on? So in effect the person is betting into the exchange.
