Hi All,
I have a spreadsheet for Horse Racing - Guardian goes through the card bringing the next market into Bet Angel one-click screen 5 minutes before the off. Guardian is connected to this Multi-Market spreadsheet.
My problem is I have a summary page which I like to watch, and every time Guardian loads the new market, Bet Angel pops up and gets in the way.
Is there a setting to keep Bet Angel minimised through-out the day, so that I can watch my spreadsheet's summary page.

Bet Angel gets in the way

I use Guardian to look after my horse racing spreadsheet throughout the day; but this is not an issue for me, as I set it running in the morning and only look again after racing has finished for the day
But on the Guardian 'Markets' tab there is a 'switch' to automatically switch Bet Angel to the market. I assume that if this is unset it will then NOT switch and hence solve your problem.

The other possibility is if you are using a single spreadsheet, guardian just does the switching, then probably you can not stop this popping up. It seems to be a function in windows, and when a program takes focus, as Bet Angel does when itswitches to a new race, windows pops it up automatically. I have tried all sorts to stop this from happening, there is a switch in control panel to stop it, but it does not actually do much, in XP at least.

Finally, a solution.
I run Windows XP on my laptop, and today I discovered how to hide the Bet Angel software behind the spreadsheet that I like to watch. I always minimise and it still pops up. However, completely by accident I clicked on the Bet Angel button on the bottom of the screen and it hides itself.
Oh, no it's just popped up again. I swear earlier it was working. Oh Super Frank is running.

I haven't tested it, but I am sure if you have the auto switching on it will bring that market forward when it switches. If you don't need to be refreshing at high speed you can set Guardian to some arbitrary refresh setting, switch off the auto switching and it will cycle quietly in the background, even if you don't have Guardian open.
I tend to have many screens in operation at once so it just switches away on some other screen other than my main trading screen.

OK, I heard that. But, I need the log to record all bets.

Peter, that reminds me. Is there a thread that covers why Bet Angel (in Practice mode) is placing two bets in a market for a selection via an automated spreadsheet.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that.
I found it at the bottom, when the market is clicked.
OK thanks for that, very useful. Though it's lost when Bet Angel (in Practice mode) is closed I guess.

Right, once the spreadsheet is attached a new market pops up, what you do is click the Bet Angel button in the bottom taskbar until it minimises. Then, do the same for the excel spreadsheet, click on the button until it disappears. Everything else needs to be minimised as well.pdupre1961 wrote:I run Windows XP on my laptop, and today I discovered how to hide the Bet Angel software behind the spreadsheet that I like to watch. Now, click on the spreadsheet button in the taskbar so that it now takes up the whole screen. The spreadsheet should stay on top for the whole session. With, the Bet Angel button turning to orange instead of popping up with each new market.
