Mister Man - I get the impression that you're only happy when you're complaining about something!

the point of the thread was to see if other f/t traders have, or have had, any sidelines. just out of interest really, i wasn't asking people for ideas.

Well, developing a bit what I do regarding my pro U2 lead singer work, I'm a civil engineer and unfortunately one of my aunts broke the spine and is now in a wheel chair.

The house where she lives wasn't fit to this new reality, so I got my hands-on-job and studied how it should be changed. I contacted a couple of associations to gather information and long story short I now help them help others that got in this kind of situation, by adapting their homes to be fitter to their new needs.

I hope mister man can enjoy, profit, be inspired or whatever he may want by this post.

When I need a break or one is enforced then I tend to do charity work, travel or work on new projects. I like new things and find them stimulating. You should take a break from the day to day effort of trying to squeak money out of the market. You will return refreshed and full of ideas.

Having a business you have to answer to staff, customers, tax men etc.... but being a trader you only have yourself to answer to.
If you have a fulltime shift pattern Job like say Policeman, Fireman , Paramedic Cabbie etc your laughing, (If you trade well)
