wow, that was some bet.

years ago when i used to do sports spread betting the value was generally to be had going short. the reason being that most people bet long (because they like the idea of unlimited upside and limited downside) and so the spreads offered were generally skewed a bit to the upside (e.g. runs, total goals, corners etc.).

what dreadful value. i can't believe i used to do sports spread betting, and even harder to believe i came out a few grand up!
