Interesting pre-race action there.

Bit of a lumpy lay taken instantly. Looked like a spoof.

Hope those fingers are very sore

I'm not sure but I thought I saw 40k put up and get instantly taken. Unless it was someone who had made a huge mistake with their stake and just self matched. If I had put 40k in by mistake I would probably had self matched rather than waste time cancelling and trying to tidy up afterwards??

If you self match it does it show as matched money in charts?

It was matched entirely so wasn't a self match.... unless someone(s) were trying to skew the Full market depth using multiple accounts.

I've never put significant amounts up and then self matched them so thats something I've never really taken notice of. There was definately a volume spike though so unless betfair have been sneaky and changed the volume calculation on the sly it must have been matched?? Very strange though as it appeared against the momentum of the market and then just go swallowed in one instant chunk.

To me it felt as though the 40k was trying to scare the market into going up but it got taken straight away. After that there were a few hefty back bets so potentially the Spoofer was bailing out.

I try not to get too involved with mind games about what others might be up-to but this case stood out pretty clearly i thought.
