Out of interest I dumped a load of money into that Ayr race @ 1.20ish. I put a bunch of orders in with £1000 at regular intervals.
Because of the amount I put in people had to take bits of my orders. By analysing the matched bet data I learnt: -
11.8% of my money was taken out in full. 10.3% of the market was taken up with people betting with £2 (Yep, on a 1.20 shot!). Where my order wasn't taken completely the remaining average bet size was £126.
On the 2nd favourite 17.4% of bets were for £2. 71% of bets taken were lower or equal to £10.

Quite impressive, so many small amount stakes. How does this relates to previous years? Is this a crisis effect?
