'At the time his agent insisted that the footballer, who has repeatedly denied having a gambling problem, was simply taking advantage of a generous rate of interest to fund other property deals.'

Shag**ng around costs a lot of money whether you pay directly for it or not.
indeed any act of coitus is very expensive for a male, ask any married man,or indeed any divoced man.
You pay one way or another every time....i dont think gambling has been his major drain on finances.

I must admit, I thought the same thing when I saw it

I'm convinced it's a professional footballer, with lots of time and money on their hands.

It would be interesting if somebody could do some homework, by looking back at the days when the bomber was around, and whether Chelsea had a match that day, or was he enjoying a day off?!

Well good oll JT could be the bomber, I like that one... actually I think he knows that just maybe he needs another job sometime soon and trading/bombing is the way forward... or maybe he was centaurs main customer...
Micheal Owen is surely a shade more savy... ;)

I remember one time he was there when England were playing on a saturday (can't remember if Terry was involved in the game though) so it reduces the chance it was an England footballer.

Would be funny if it was him though. There were a lot of rumours about Michael Owen but the bomber showed up one day when he was playing (or at least sitting on the bench - maybe he was on betfair mobile  )

but English players do not train every day? Here we are talking about high level players that normally are on training ground more than other players. They suppose to be on the training field for few hours a day, they play 15-30 minutes daily, they are coached about tactics, some of them spend sometime in the gym to strengthen their weak muscles, they are subject to doctor visits, etc etc.
There are some professionals that continue even after the end of the normal day training just for their personal attitude to improve their game. If what you guys saying is true does not make you wonder why England never win?
Why then crucify the various coaches if you are already knowledged the bad habbits of you greatest representatives?
This is the last chance of John terry to play a european competition at the national level if he is lucky perhaps he will be playing the world cup, I have no doubt that professional footballer at this point should only think to train hard and not to get injured,(for John terry in particular there is also court case for racist abuse), to achieve the best result of the upcoming european competition. Bombing the market would take him vital hours and concentration when he should train during the daylight and focus on the matters above.
Even our representatives are not angels, but they train hard and then from time to time they bring some finals and a few victories. In facts I am 100% confidente there will be not match fixing until the end of european competition..
