How bizarre! Can't just be the Terry stuff surely?

With the timing on the court case, there has to be a trade on Spurs opening up now.

Harry Redknapp resigned.
Harry Redknapp cleared of tax evasion allegations
Fabio Capello resigned.
England will have what they wished for long time and perhaps Inter Milan will finally sign Fabio Capello.

British Sport is run by farts. You name it, Football, Tennis, Cricket, Rugby Union. They are all farts.

It's ridiculous to think the England manager shouldn't have an opinion on anything when asked. They basically want a 'Yes man' who is willing to be gagged in exchange for his £6m salary. This is why we never win anything, because the best managers would never take the job, or would never be considered

I'm not sad to see Postman Pat get the sack.....so to speak  EDIT I agree with Le Tiss, the FA should at least have discussed the Terry situation with him.

Mind you, it won't matter who we get as manager, our players simply aren't good enough overall.

I have watched Fabio Capello interview, he said nothing scandales. I believe was all written before the meeting.
The British hate a foreign coach, I think it's the right decision, that makes every1 happy. `The only problem is that a new McLaren is coming. good luck

I don't mind having a foreign coach, I'm happy for anyone to be the manager no matter what their nationality is. As I said before, we simply don't have the players to compete at the top level.

Mind you I would also be happy for a new manager to prove me wrong!

Is there a market on the next England manager?

I've just looked in Soccer > Specials, but it's not there.

I reckon Rednapp might be a good lay. OK, he's been found not guilty, but the fact that he's just been tried for tax evasion might put the FA off. The FA might take the view that 'mud sticks', and worry about the people who say 'There's no smoke without fire'. Let's not forget that are the same guys who were happy to demote John Terry, even though he's yet to set foot in a courtroom...

The more I think about it, the less certain I am of Harry being suited to the job.

He'll definitely take it, as long as the FA are prepared to wait until the season is over. Should be fine, he knows the players and there's only one friendly between now and then, so an interim manager would be OK. He always talks about his great pal Bobby Moore, so the opportunity to follow Mooro and lift the World Cup, especially in Brazil, would be impossible for him to resist

His passion for the game is undeniable, however his strength is man management rather than being a tactician. He would hate not being involved in matches for 6 weeks at a time, just driving around the country watching games from the stands, whilst in between putting up with the antics of the stuffy muppets at Soho Square. When he left Pompey and turned up at Saints within 2 weeks, he claimed he was bored getting under Sandra's feet and pottering around the garden.

He would be proud to take the job, but would hate what it involves

Neil Warnock for me!

with 2 ex-blades already in the side he's tailor made for the job - and would certainly fire them up. and just imagine the entertainment value with him on the touchline and in post-match interviews...

:D

edit: seven promotions with six clubs - a record - and he's a good cup manager (which is what it's all about).

in 2002/03 he took 2nd division Sheff U to both the FA Cup and League Cup semi-finals... in the FA Cup semi-final referee Graham Poll tackled one of our players in the move that lead to Arsenal's winning goal http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 917575.stm and David Seaman "probably made the greatest save of all time").
