Morning All,
I was looking at the web site PauloRebelo dot com last night and whilst it isn't full of useful content, it does show what is possible from the football markets (check out his diary) (you have to select english translation)
50K euros a week would be very welcome! :o

Hi Peter-Lee,
what you see in his diary is only a third of what he makes weekly.
His average is around 150,000 euros a week. He trade up to half million pre-off on very important football games. His average on the world cup or european cup is just unnameable for us...Enjoy it

Do you know; If I could earn that sort of money...

Last Christmas, the finances were so bad, the wife had to sell a kidney to pay for the kids presents. I said to her "If this keeps up, I'm going to have to cancel Sky Sports!" :D

Hi All
I keep updated with this guy on facebook. i havent joined his site (there is a fee for some info)but they posted a stat a while ago stating that if you followed his advice on the over /under 2.50 market for straight 30 euro bets u would have a profit of 431.00 euros for the month,
he certainly is the daddy when it comes to trading football.

Amazing. The man must be a genius.

For the ultimate in betting/trading though, Alan Woods (horse handicapper) probably represents the summit:

When he died of cancer in 2008 at the age of 62, he had amassed a fortune of $670 million from gambling.

Paulo Rebelo is a long term Bet Angel customer and friend of mine, he is a really nice chap.

It's interesting to see how widely has been embraced in Portugal and how Betfair have been instrumental in this. It seems virtually impossible to get the same recognition in the UK for the elite users of the exchange. If anything the opposing situation prevails. Apart from a brief spell in 2006 Betfair UK don't seem to have trumpeted their bigger users or just what can be achieved if you are willing to put some effort in.

It's really a shame I don't know him. We are from the same city, support the same club and speak the same language, so everything in place to get along :)

I sent him a message once, but never got a reply, I guess he must get tons of those. I know he sometimes throws a 'get together' but they are attended by hundreds and it looks more like a mug's assembly tbh.

What he does is amazing and it shows what's to be achieved.

Congrats to the lad!

This guy fascinates me because I've said many times on other threads, there's a thin dividing line between being a successful trader and being a successful punter

That video is not trading!

He's using statistical analysis to determine value. The video then shows him using various bookies to have a punt with. I don't dispute that he uses BF to lay off, or to green up when he's happy with taking the available profit, but he doesn't take risks of trying to squeeze a few tick movements, he looks at the bigger picture

IMO Paulo is a professional gambler first and foremost. I think the majority of 60% PC payers are similar animals

There are many betting sites which are already in English language and they have also some options to select the language in which you want to view the site. And if than also there is any kind of problem than there is online helps provided by these betting sites.

I'm not sure Betfair want to encourage more traders to come onto the scene, as pro traders compete against Betfair's inhouse traders.

And whilst they could tell people about gamblers who are making fortunes every week, your average member of the public would think that you needed to be either a form guru or the brother in law of a trainer to make that kind of money, so it wouldn't capture their imagination IMHO.
