Was wondering if anyone on the forum had used a GoPro camera or the like and what their experience of them were and any recommendations?
I was thinking of getting the GoPro Hero HD2 for doing some Mountain Biking vids mainly:

Cheers Mugs,
I have watched a few of the review videos, this one is quite good comparing the model you mention and the newer one:

I think the newer version does have some good benefits - I really like the wider recording angle.
I was just catching up on the Channel 4's Morning Line and saw that they were using them for a feature they are doing at Paul Nicholls yard where they have them strapped to the riders head. So if a TV company is using them I guess they must be decent.
Would be great if they could get a jockey to wear say 4 on his head looking each way during a race - it would give some great footage!
Have you actually used them yourself Mugs? If so what for?

Yes Andy,
We use them for our motorcycling trips. My motivation was to protect myself in case of accident. Personally I wouldn't pay the extra for the newer model unless the extra feature was really important. The quality you get is staggering. Great fun to watch back your mistakes and near misses

Cheers for that Mugsgame - I am going to go for the newer model as I like the wider angle and am happy to pay the bit extra for it - only problem is I want two of them now lol! One front viewing and one backwardsmugsgame wrote:Yes Andy,
