Bad news, took a fall while out schooling recently and hasn't responded to treatment.

shame. i was really looking forward to seeing him again at cheltenham this year. well at least he is not badly injured which is the most important thing.

This is really ashame, although not confirmed. Spot on though that horse welfare takes priority, KS doesn't owe anyone a jot and he is in great hands.

In my opinion this could force the hand of David Pipe into having a crack at Long Run with Grand Cru - don't back Grand Cru with Betfair ante post as you will lose your money if he doesn't run in the Gold Cup. I have studied again the videos of Long Run this year and on each occasion he has never looked the same as last year. A winning gold cup takes it's toll and I believe that he will trade larger in running with or without KS in the field.

Kauto Star takes 'big step forward' after canter

let's hope he makes it and jumps them all ragged again.

I hope 'Kauto Star' is in there so there's a front runner for 'Long Run' to run down ;)

Astute comment from Stuart. I wanted a crack at the In-Play. The ideal situation is that KS is well in the lead, 'Long Run' is chasing but makes a couple of jumping errors going down to the last (as he's prone to do), his price blows out to double figures In-Play, all of us at Betangel smash the In-Play price, 'Long Run' storms home, and we all get a big Green-Up

you'll get matched at double figures for sure, but they'll be no green!

i did name my username after him but other than that no connection. a bloke at my old work kept backing him early in his career and did very well on him and starting calling me superfrank (i'm Frank but not particularly super!).
it is my ambition to own a nag one day though.

I thought there might be a connection, interesting to hear the story thanks. You could probably buy him for a song after his performance today.

Given my trading performance lately i could rename my account after that infamous horse 'Norfolk-in-chance'
