Can't say I have seen him do anything different today than he has always done when flashing the market over the years.chuck536 wrote:still dont get why it was gonna drift more
I don't think it has anything to do with tricking bots tbh and I can't say I saw him holding down Uncle Junior's price?
What did you see Peter that makes you think it is done to trick bots? And what made you think he was holding the price down?
He always wants his money matched, the key to trading him imo is working out his MO that he uses to get the money matched.
As an aside I just had my best trade of the day....it was at Sedgefield.
Edit: 16.40 first race today I haven't seen him at Cheltenham

Not the best promotion for BF today
bet that win proved expensive!

Anyone monitoring the average individual matched bet and the average individual bet size placed?
I'm having a blast on these markets. From 25 minutes to around 12 mins before the off, the pace of money coming in and being taken flows nice and calm for me... then Bang,.... in comes the big girls and boys with their 10s of thousands and eat up everything.... got done in the first race ..from then on small green...but I'm staying with it... just asking for price all the time.....euler, your chelt stats on your blog gave me enough insight to create enough confidence to dive in..thanks....
Im ready to go at this this week

We've got loads of data from the markets today so we will be looking at them and posting up what, if anything, we find. Hopefully that can give you a better steer tomorrow.jimrobo wrote:I'm having a mare and am thoroughly hacked off with trading the horse racing markets!
Markets seem to be awful for me. Markets feel like a wednesday night kempton market rather than a buxom cheltenham one.

Hi all I only traded one race and made about 50p, ( very small bank as I usually lose) and I thought this is incredibly boring and you obviously need a huge bank to get anywhere...not sure I will even bother tomorrow...
luck to all
groovy

Only traded the last 2 as I had to work.
Lost on both IR but came close to a big win on betdaq (no cigar). Somehow made £400 on the NHF race at Sedges which covered my losses and the £272 I lost on the Arsenal 95 min goal last night.
Even stevens, or is it Even Stephens for the week so far.
Hope the back and the family illness improves JollyG.

No mate, worse than that, I blew my entire betting bank again just prior to Cheltenham, so could only take small bets at the moment.Stewart wrote: 3.20 I am sue Zenyatta will be mortgaging the house for Hurricane Fly. I will think he will win but I won't risk my house![]()
It's quite unbelievable that I seem to be able to pick an endless stream of losers unabated...honestly it's as if the Gods themselves are against me on this cursed horse racing game.
For my value bet I liked both 'Quantitative Easing" and 'Hunt Ball'. I could only back one of them. You can guess what happened mate. Thinking QE was the solution to all economic woes, I backed that... it lost.. and of course 'Hunt Ball' romped home.
How in the hell can one person be so good at losing can you answer me that? Someone? Peter? I swear, if I'd done the complete polar opposite of all the trades and punts I'd made, I'd have had a massive fortune.
For the 'Gold Cup' at Cheltenham I've narrowed it down to two choices. I can either back 'Long Run' In-Play and try to get big odds, or back a value runner 'Midnight Chase' (good course specialist) for big odds there. You can sure that whatever I do, the other option will win

The short price one (maybe was the 4th race but not too sure) just typified the markets for me. There seemed to be hundreds of thousands holding the price in both directions then from nowhere the back side seemed to just collapse without any volume spike. Just all the money cancelled. Very difficult to read IMHO. In previous years there seemed to be a little more bouyancy??Euler wrote:We've got loads of data from the markets today so we will be looking at them and posting up what, if anything, we find. Oddsfutures.com Nice layout here for interested parties.
This can be slice and dices anyway just by changing the "track/meet" on a given day
