this was my 3rd Cheltenham trading year - i made a complete mess of it the first year, did ok last year (although had some luck) and this year didn't make loads but traded nicely and happy with it.

fab racing as always and enjoyable just to play a small part in it all.

I'm not a confident trader on Horses, but Cheltenham is perfect. The large liquidity leads to less volatility. This makes it easier to read the markets, especially during the morning. Had one or two very nice touches

Not a bad week and good day today. Until today I was making good money on the other cards and losing on Chelts. I think I am starting to get the hang of the big pre race markets.

Some of the longer priced Favs seemed to drift and then come in very strongly at the off.

There were also some major differences between the Betdaq and Betfair prices.

Off with the kids at 6.30am for them to play Rugby in Belgium tomorrow. We will be having a minutes silence for the victims of the Swiss bus crash. Puts all the pursuit of money into perspective.

Shame to see the likely end of Kauto Star's career.

Shame about Kauto, I hope it's not the last we've seen of him.... if it was then he sent me a farewell present of my best result for nearly 2 years. Not the first time I've had great results trading him, to me that animal is more like a guardian angel than a horse ;)

Fun week overall, I hit what I was just about targeting to over the week on the very last race. I'm knackered after that. I'm definately having tommorrow off - will likely be dire liquidity and clashes galore with 2 irish cards.

Where's the smilie for 'cigar moment'? ;)

I'll second the 'time for a rest'. I'm exhausted.
