i didn't realise last year and had a back position on the fav at the off but luckily it made me £900 when Lorna something won - the best, and feels like only, bit of Betfair luck i've had!

Just musing over cheltenham volumes... do you guys think that suddenly a whole load of sometime traders just appear for the big meets or do the handfull really big players just ramp it up x whatever factor for these prestige meets?

In my opinion just a handful of big players ramp it up.
I disagree, Read what PW says about the way bets are filled.steven1976 wrote:In my opinion just a handful of big players ramp it up.
The "big players" are always here. It's the £2 punters that turn up for festivals like this. poor week for me at Cheltenham. But I really enjoyed the racing.

So we agree then or have I miss understood mugsgame? Its not other big traders who may trade other markets suddenly turning up just because its Cheltenham, which was the question as I understand. Its the same big traders who are always there ready to pounce at an opportunity using bigger numbers that beef up the money in the queues. The 2pound punters will just take what is on offer if they are having a punt.
