Hi
Can anyone please confirm if it is possible to place bets at less than £2 using Excel automatically? I i.e. place a bet for £2 then modify it?

Thanks in advance
regards

I asked the question a while ago and got no replies, so I guess it can't be done. It is a pity though, maybe something BA can look at?

I'm assuming you'd need to have fairly extensive knowledge of Excel, as the initial £2 bet would have to have it's cell cleared to place the following smaller bet, and then to cancel the original £2.

I agree though, it would be useful. I used to lay all selections for a target book %, but wasn't possible on markets with a price above 100/1, for this very reason

Betfair asked us not to put this in Excel directly, but you should be able to create a modified position that achieves this. Never tried myself though it has to be said.

I got around it by using the dutching/bookmaking features in the end.
It was for a new system that I'm working on and some days last week I was submitting 1200 - 1500 bets a day, which is why I didn't want to use the minimum £2 bet..If it proves a positive system then I will ultimately increase it to £2 and automate it
I can understand why betfair dont want us to use this, as potentially people could be literally be placing bets for 1p, anyway I'll give it a month to see how it goes..
Thanks All,
regards
Peter
