Betfair Down / Betfair site crash

What I dont get is you have a site like Facebook, ok now they are super big but back a few years ago they had way way more transactions going through their site and their motto is never ever have any downtime...EVER.

Yet betfair is probably the least reliable site I have ever visited.
I fail to understand how it can be sooo unrealible?

Betfair have failed to suspend the 15:00 at Carlisle and turn it inplay. God knows how they will settle that market!

I always, always , always hit "Take SP" as soon as my bet hits the market. It's not idea but at least it's a safe guard from incompetence.

Seriously how bad is the betfair backend that there is problems on a weekly basis!?

If I was in charge I would say to the programmers, next time anything goes down one of you will be fired!
