Take SP, bet not placed when in-play

We were all new to Bet Angel once. Ask any question you like here and fellow forum members promise not to laugh. Betfair trading made simple.

Hi, first off, I am a newbie to Bet Angel so please let me know if I'm being a dolt!

I placed a bet on over/under 2.5 before in-play which was not matched. I set the unmatched bet to take sp and clicked submit changes. The log confirms that the status of the bet was updated. However, the bet was not placed when the match went in play. Have I missed something? Any suggestions gratefully received.

NB after I'd clicked submit changes the "at in play" field in the unmatched bets window changed back to "cancel", but the logs didn't reflect this so I assumed that it just displayed the default.

SP is only on horse racing, I don't think it exists on any other markets?

This is correct. You could have clicked "keep bets" on that market though.

If you log onto the betfair website and make sure you understand the market rules on the right hand side of the page. This is something I still do even now.
