Hi,
This evening my BetAngel through betfair is freezing every few seconds, even dragging the programme across my screen is very stuttered and slow.
I am on BA Professional 1.28.0.
Does this sound like an Angel, betfair or PC problem? Do any others have similar issues today?
Thanks,
Gary
Bet Angel Freezing every few seconds
No reported problems in support. If you are having problems when dragging and dropping a window that does sound like a PC issue of some sort.
You may want to try upgrading as we are now on version 1.30.4
Make sure your communication settings are optimised as Betfair ask us to minimise these by default so Bet Angel will buffer the calls if you push it too hard without resetting these values to a higher number.

Hi, ok thanks.
I have upgraded to latest version and it's still the same
I'm fairly certain its not a pc issue as it is of high spec and there are no problems with other applications.
Where do I optimise communication settings? Do you mean the 'refresh every' drop down menu? I have it on 200ms as I have done for just over a year since I first started using BA.
Thanks

Do you know which graphics card you have?
Also, try creating a new user on your PC and use it just for trading. That may help.
You may have a resource issue but as mentioned it is hard to comment without seeing it.

Hi gary
I had similar problem for almost 2 years. Even though I have changed computer with a better graphic card my problem was never sorted. My english was far worse then today so they were some missunderstanding between me and customer support which was never able to help. Please if you found a solution would you be kind to post it so I can subscribe to BA again? I have once followed Euler advise which worked a bit better but then after while it started to freeze again.
P.S. My boyfriend had similar problem but also never sorted..
P.S.2 my new notebook details which I use most.

Have you tried adjusting the graphics performance settings?
Click Start
Right click on Computer and select Properties
Click Advanced System Settings
Under the Performance section click Settings
Change the setting to "Adjust for Best Performance"
Try running Bet Angel with that setting and see if there is any improvement.
Let me know what happens

Same problem here too, and I don't remember it in full details, but it had something to do with some nVidia GPU models. I bought a new machine with a radeon GPU and everything runs well now.
Disclaimer: I don't get any comission from radeon. unfortunately

I've also had similar issues but tweaking the communication settings helped me. If I remember correctly I increased the API requests to close to 20 and at the same time decreased some of the refresh intervals including Guardian until I got a problem free environment.

Windows 7 is well known for graphics drivers issues so changing the driver can be a good idea.
Visit this site Nvidia Drivers and get the appropriate driver.
When you install it you may have to restart but that's fine.
If you have ATI Radeon then visit this link Radeon Drivers to do the same
