Is it possible to lay a horse in running, for instance a horse trading at 4.2 but seconds before it drifts? I'm in position to lay at 7 when all monies up to that point has been taken ; bang my bet is taken and then watch as the price shoots to 10. I know pros and cons of this trading but is it possible cheers

If you set up a LAY Rule like this...

If current odds >=A and current odds <=B and WOM >=0% place at C where C is greater than B

then lay in Automatic window, would that do the sort of thing you want to do?

I use this technique sometime in running.

Where C is LESS than B I meant to say!

Thanks for your reply. I just have to get my head around it (Excel, triggers etc). Have you any idea if there is a book or web site that explains it in detail? Thanks for your time.

Hi Kingyo,

I think you can do them triggers that Seabird mentions in BetAngel. You have to set them up in the rules tab in BetAngel and then you can trigger them in the automation tab if the rules are met etc.

Cheers

Sorry for being less than precise... say you do this as a LAY rule in the Rules tab.

If current odds >=5 and current odds <=10 and WOM >=0% place at 9

Then go to the Automation tab set up your stake as you want it and once you check the box by the relevant horse(s) it will fire an order in to Lay at 9 if the price is between 5 and 10.

I hope this is what you want to do as it is clearly easier than an Excel solution.
