Tragically Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini has suffered a heart-attack and died in a Serie B game. Serie A matches have been postponed

I have two points to make on this

1) Players are supposedly fitter than ever before, yet we have had numerous cardiac arrests over the past 3-5 years. It's makes you wonder if players are taking dodgy supplements. That may seem controversial, but there has to be an explanation for the increase in such attacks

2) People die tragically all the time. I found the 1 minute applause for Muamba (who wasn't dead) at grounds up & down the country, with various tshirts being worn by opposing players as massively over the top. Why postpone all games in Italy? It's an over reaction, just wear black armbands and have a minute silence.

I couldn't agree more LeTiss, it seems that our pathetically overemotional wallowing national psyche is spreading.

people need to get a grip. people die, horses die. all life is fatal.

I can't believe what I have just heard on the news. Sometimes life is very unfair for some people.
Morosini lost tragically his mather at very early age, 2 years later his dad also tragically died. After his father death his disable brother commited suicide and he was left with a disable sister. He did everything possible to succeed in life to give a better future for him self and the older disable sister. This guy deserve the biggest tribute ever not just as sportsman but also as one of the most admirable human being..
