A matter of opinion. 
In the winter, Blackpool is dead. In the summer, the bars are stuffed to the gills with the sort of people you wouldn't want to meet down a dark alleyway late at night. I used to live in Preston, but I rarely popped down the road to visit Blackpool...

Blackpool is great any time of the year. Many wasted days when I was younger spent in the arcades and at the pleasure beach. My main summer holidays are actually spent in Bolton seeing family which is a little less exotic than Blackpool and Milan but still, I always enjoy. Got a stag do in Pattaya this weekend which should be fun.
