I think Drogba saw more grass than goal in that first half. Still, they all count don't they!

"A medical miracle"....!

11 men behind the ball for second half! Perhaps a change of strategy...

I wonder if Chelsea are worth a lay at 1.5. Given that there's every chance that Barcelona could level in the final 20 minutes, that strikes me as a bit low...

It's like England 0-1 Brazil in 1970 World Cup

Except this time the better team is winning...

I think you overestimate Chelsea - It wasn't that long ago that you were predicting that they would win this year's PL! :)

If it weren't for some outrageously good fortune on Chelsea's part, Barcelona would be winning comfortably. I think the rain also removed some of Barcelona's edge.

1-0 is one of the most complicate result for barcelona. I am just praying that the referee would not spoil the game next week in favor of Barcelona....Bravo Chelsea... ;)

Next week...

Barcelona 2-1 Chelsea
Real Madrid 1-0 Bayern Munich

and dream comes true...as both ties are 2-2, but Real Madrid and Chelsea get through on away goals.

Pdupre -

We'll see! :) I reckon the next leg will be 3-0.

I actually find myself with divided loyalties. As an Englishman, I want Chelsea to reach the final, but as a Man U supporter I'd take great pleasure in seeing Chelsea getting knocked out!

I'd take great pleasure in seeing every english clubs and England getting knocked out but this time is different. Barcelona despite being the best team in the world has won games with the help of the referees in several occasion and for the last 4-5 years. If is there justice in sport I'd like to see Chelsea in the final.

Going to take a fair bit of effort to stop Barca scoring or conceding at home. Nothing's impossible though.

I stopped watching football on a regular basis, when people started saying that Ronaldinho was the best player in the world... B**locks, he's a clown - and so is Messi. And, Ronal..doh of Real Madrid - they are not football players because they cheat when they are losing...

Or is it OK to act like a child when you don't get your own way.

The best way to deal with children who act up is 'give them a good slap', that'll usually stop them.

From the referees point of view a Red card is the only thing they will understand - though it never worked for David Beckham, he's still an idiot.

Pdupre-

Gary Linekar has never received a yellow card - even as a schoolboy. However, the vast majority of players aren't so saintly. You consider Glen Hoddle a great player, but I'd be willing to bet that he occasionally went to ground easily, or did a dodgy tackle on a player and hoped the ref wasn't looking...

And if cheating is a reason to exclude someone from the list of the game's greats, then you'll have to exclude Maradonna.

Your critereon for deciding what makes a player great is way too narrow. A player can be a cheat but still play sublime football when they aren't cheating and therefore be classed as a great player.

Everyone cheats now a again - but, when it's game after game after game after game...

Then you wonder if they can win without cheating...Like Man Utd, or Barcelona...are they really that good without the corrupt referees helping them win.
