what a fabulous game.

Barca ran out of ideas, and too reliant on Messi.

pleased for Torres (who had a shocker for the first few mins after coming on and i was worried he'd blow it).

loved the way he just collected the ball and did what he'd do in training in such a situation, i.e. sit the keeper on his arse and walk it round him.

My first wish was Chelsea Knocking out Barcelona.
Job Done.
My second wish is Mourinho to win the Champions league with Real Madrid.
The only problem with my wishes is that if Mourinho won the champions league he will sign for Man Utd next year or the year after and that will be a big problem for all teams in Europe... ;)

Terry foul on Sanchez: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGX3GugL7ZE

I don't see how anyone could argue that that's anything but unprovoked thuggery. What kind of example is the idiot setting to the kids who hero worship him?

I think you're massively overreacting Ferru!
Either that or you're joking, and I've missed it.

It was ridiculous and unprofessional, but it wasn't thuggery or an offence that would get him arrested.

it was hardly anything, Sanchez should have been sent off for being such a cheating pussy.

If you did that to someone who was backing towards you in a shopping centre when you could have just stepped out of their way, I'd be amazed if you didn't get arrested! :)

A careless or over-heavy tackle is one thing - it's needs to be stamped down upon, but it's not malicious. But attacking another player when you're not even trying to get to the ball is something else entirely.

And has for Terry's self-defence claim, it borders on the surreal! How can you ever need to defend yourself against someone who has his back to you?!? :?: Did Terry think that Sanchez was about to launch a backward karate kick on him or something?

With respect, I doubt you'd be so understanding if someone kneed you in the back of the leg deliberately...

i've played football for many teams and for many years and i've had a damn sight worse than that happen and not gone rolling around on the floor.

'glad barca lost. not that great, cheat as much as any other modern day side and couldn't beat a team with 10 men and no centre backs.

I still remember that crucial penalty miss in the 2008 Champions League final. And now Terry made another mistake. Chelsea had a bit of luck with only 26% possession, 10men and with the ball hitting the post twice.
What to expect next. A mourinho vs abramovich final?

the European Cup final is going to spoiled by at least one side having to field a significantly weakened team because of suspensions.

it's a nonsense that players should be suspended for the final (and probably the biggest game of their career) because of one tackle in the 2nd most important game of their career (the semi) and at the whim of a ref.

there should be some other sanction imposed. the final should feature the strongest teams possible for the sake of the spectacle itself.

but I think that the way Chelsea play like, Barça will run past them like a train.
Have to bite my tongue now. Imho, Barcelona did more than enough to go through, but it's football!

Only 15 minutes gone and it's look very likely to be a Chelsea vs Real final.

Now, that was quick.

Bayer is likely to score, RM are giving too much space on the back, aren't they?
