betfair suspended my account for no reason

I just called betfair UK and they said my account has suspended by their AUS department,and they don't know why AUS department did that either..... the I got a replied email says

Thank you for your e-mail.

Please give our Helpdesk a call on 1300 225 225 at your earliest convenience to discuss the suspension of your Betfair account.

interesting thing is I can't get through this number,it's invalid.....

checked betfair forum there were some other people got suspended recently and no reason given...

does anyone here have similar experience?

and thanks euler,but I can't get through that 1800 number as I'm overseas,anyway I have send an email to betfair AUS and hopefully can get a response soon,I will update when I find out what happened to my account

I have no idea,interesting thing is I have been using this account for 4yrs and never had problems with it,and I'm pretty sure I haven't done anything special recently,its just so weird..

yeah....finally I got through the number and they said they want me to stop trading NSW racings ,I said ok then they reactivated my account....and thats it.....

Pity Betfair did not have some coconuts and drop NSW Racing altogether. As for Racing Victoria , it will be interesting to see what those hypocrites do come August given the naming rights agreement between Betfair and the Melbourne Racing Club.

I opened my account when I was in Newzealand,but I am currently in China so have to use a vps to trade these AUS markets

By the way; which VPS provider do you use in Aus? Would you recommend them cost, speed etc??

Cheers for taking the time to let us know what happened. It does seem Betfair are shutting down Oz and Nz only based accounts from trading Oz racing. It seems they must put the non Oz and Nz money through the exchange differently in a way that avoids the new charges for them.
