Yes, they have drifted on the fixed odds market this morning but come in on the exchange. Could this be Betfair's first palp?

I'm still a bit hesitant! From past experience, if something looks too good to be true on betfair..it usually is??! :D

I know, I think they will palp this when the realise their error.

Just tried £100 at 4.3..."the stake exceeds the maximum for this selection" :?

...somehow it just seems doomed to fail to me...

just backed £22 pounds at 4.3 and then laid it off on the exchange at 3.9..Its only £7.7 profit but I just wanted to see if was possible..

I don't think they'll let people have enough on to make it worth the effort of palping it. It'll just be good PR to be best price for them even though they probably won't let anyone on for more than a fiver

edit: just saw someone on the betfair forum had said it's an enhanced price until 2.00pm and they were allowed £2 on , maybe I was being a bit optimistic with my guess of a fiver.

I've just placed a number of small bets one after another. But something isn't right here, this opens Betfair up to potentially unlimited liability. Can't be right.

How does the sportsbook impact PC. Does it count?

So if you filled your boots, well done.

My understanding is that it doesn't count.

Cheers PW.

I am have noticed that the prices they have up are all"industry" type prices such as 51 (50/1) 34 (33/1).
This looks like they are ignoring the exchange and are literally acting just like a conventional bookie. Which means there will be restrictions.

Try getting £50 on a 33/1 shot with Skybet. You may do it once or twice, but they soon close you down.

My thinking is BF will do the same

They just restrict the amount you can get on, when they had Spain at 10/3 for the WC I think they let me have £15 max on :(

I'm sure it won't be too long before they do their first palp either as they do seem to have a habit of cocking things up.
